It's inevitable that your little one's screentime goes up during this time. It's the price you pay in exchange for the freedom to finish that work project or the chore you're meaning to do in forever. Let's make the most out of their screentime with these educational apps we recommend.
One of the educational apps our creator, Egreis Gjergjani, swears by on her blog is Osmo. Her kiddos love how fun and interactive it is. They can learn and enjoy the fun activities with just a click of the finger.
Here's how it works:
- Purchase the Osmo base with the app to activate games.
- Your little ones can play with physical game pieces, draw, code, spell, etc.
- The coolest part is when the Osmo device scans the table, their creations come alive on their iPad screen!

This digital reading app will spark your little one's love of reading. They offer a library of well-written stories and age-appropriate books up to age 14.
We love how the app allows you to search for books by their grade, make different collections for your child. and parents can assign those books for them to read.
They can favorite books, adding them to their library, etc. Many of the books will offer a quiz at the end, giving your child the opportunity to earn points and badges as a way to reward them for their work!
There are books they can read themselves, books that can be read to them, some that do both, and audiobooks for when they just want to listen or have a nighttime story! This app offers a nice bit of customization, you can have words highlighted and defined, search through books, collections others have already made, etc. It’s very user friendly and will suggest books based upon what your child has already read. There are also educational videos as well, we just love it. This app has become indispensable for us!
This is a really excellent app, not for the least of which because it is FREE (truly free). The graphics and activities are amazing. Children can learn reading, language, writing, math, social-emotional development, problem-solving skills, and motor development on the app.
They'll be familiarized with open-ended questions through games. They'll also improve their drawing, storytelling, and coloring skills to encourage creativity and self-expression.
A cast of adorable animal characters will guide children through lessons, and our adaptive learning path will customize their experience to help them master different skills. Click here to download.
Learning about time, money, and fractions can be challenging for many children. This app is highly recommended by parents all across the internet to help children build those skills!
